Don't worry we don't have a complicated battle system that constantly needs calculations, Nope our system is pretty simple.
Jutsu Ranks:
Now this is one of the most important things in battle, The rank of a jutsu determines how much damage it can cause and what effects it will have on the opponent. It also decides how much of your chakra is used up, you can not use high ranked jutsu in rapid succession or you will cause chakra exhaustion on your character.
No gennin can use S or A rank jutsu so let's not go over board.
Chakra Usage:
Chill like I said above there isn't a complicated system for this. Our system is extremely simple, its called "common sense". You basically can estimate how a character would be after using a S rank jutsu, you have to rp out how tired they would be after using certain jutsu and if you reach a stage where they are out of chakra you must rp out how they escape. We all know no one could perform 5 A-rank jutsus and walk away like nothing happened. If you cheat the common sense system we will have to invent a more restraining system so just don't..
Taking hits: In a battle not every attack has to hit the opponent (unless its a npc) if its Taijutsu fighting, an opponent is allowed to block a few attacks but NOT ALL. If you're using any form of jutsu then the opponent can perform a Substitution jutsu which you can use 3 times per thread, a body flicker technique also works just as well for those that don't have a substitution jutsu. If you have a clone technique you must make the clones in the post before you get attacked that way one of the clones can take the shot for you. All three evasion techniques can only be used 3 times per thread since a person that never gets hit can be annoying sometimes.
Some jutsu have rather harsh effects but we don't have a choice but to take the hit and then make a plan to find your way out.
Getting Jutsu:
You do not buy jutsu on this site, you simply have to train in order to get the hang of a certain jutsu. This means you must make a training thread(Solo or with a person) where you try and get the hang of your desired jutsu. Also ,shinobi have ranks.. You can not persue a jutsu that is out of your rank unless you have the needed experience. Experience or Exp for short is gained per thread , you gain quite a lot. Not less then 100 exp per mission thread and more depending on the quality of a thread.
the following list states the minimum rank you must have to train for a certain jutsu and to get higher ranks you need more exp.. NO YOU WILL NOT BUY JUTSU USING EXP, its just to keep track of your progress. Each time you reach certain Exp amounts you are able to be promoted as a shinobi to the next rank. you cannot go from genin to chunin without going through the chunin exams!. No amount of Exp can help you level up from genin. you can use exp for all the other levels.

Chunnin E rank- D rank - C rank and a few B rank
Jounin E rank - D rank - C rank B Rank and a few A rank and if your really skilled then you can use S rank
